2010 ASIA HOUSTON NETWORK SCHOLARSHIP RECIPIENT
Houston Community College

INTRODUCTION TO ASIAN PROTOCOL & BUSINESS ETIQUETTE
Tuesday August 31, 2010

Did you know that in China giving a clock as a gift wrapped in white paper would be seen as wishing ill?  Both clocks and white denote death in thier culture.  Are you going to Japan? If you receive a gift in Japan, don't open it upon receiving it. That would be impolite.  What might be perfectly acceptable in one country might be totally taboo in another.  In order to succeed in business dealings in Asia or with people born and raised in Asia, one must be able to communicate with people well and know their values and cultures. Click here to register.
